We have been in love with this boy since we first laid eyes on him 2 years ago where he was an up and coming stud dog in Germany. He has proven himself multiple times for passing to his progeny very good hips, beautiful structure, gorgeous expressive head types, strong working drives and sound temperaments. At an early age within his litter Foenix showed very good confidence, play and prey drive and would alert and check out new surroundings without hesitation. Foenix has always showed enormous amounts of self confidence, natural prey/play drive as well as the ability to adapt to any changing situation. Foenix is very biddable in his character. He demonstrates exceptional work ethic and an eagerness to work for his handler at all times. He is not a dog that unfolds under pressure but has the correct temperament to try hard to work with his handler. He will work for food, praise or toys and simply enjoys learning. In his training on the field Foenix is extremely clear in the head and has the ability to focus his drive appropriately. He has excellent prey drive yet will take direction from his handler in bite work, obedience and agility at all times. He can maintain high drive and energy for sharp, upbeat obedience work and thrives on agility. He is a very athletic dog. In bitework he has shown his handler time and time again that he will rise to the occasion and the decoys challenge and pressure. He has worked with several different decoys and never hesitates to perform equally. Foenix has a very nice balance of prey and defense drives. In the home he is a very good house dog. He knows when to settle down and is very snuggly and warm in character. He is very reliable with other small pets; cats, smaller dogs, and birds, and is a wonderful family companion. He is very protective of his home and family and is a natural deterrent towards strangers. He is a very safe dog once someone has been welcomed into the home and he is wonderful around children and loves to interact and play ball with them.
